This is my parents' wedding picture. I decided to stitch this piece if I can get a chart.
Sometime in 2008, I asked Ann, a friend I befriended from crosstitch.com, to make me a chart as she has a software to convert photos to cross stitch charts. And she did make me a chart and mailed it to me. This was what came out. Although it didn't quite looks so good, I was already happy with it. I know Ann did her best and she did it for free and I know she spent lots of time and effort in making the chart so I have no right to complain.
Then sometime this January, I wondered if there's a website that offers free photo to cross stitch conversion services. I found 3 sites and tried making a chart. But then I was doubtful if I can really make a better chart than the one Ann made for me because I believe nothing is for free nowadays. Anyway I decided to go with a chart I've made from one of the site. And this is what I've stitched so far and it looks very good,. Of course I'm very happy. My mother would be the happiest person when she sees this. This would be my birthday gift for her this coming November. She'll be 86 years old by then, God willing.
